My mother’s hairdresser asked her if I happened to have any size 8 shoes for her son, who is currently living in Montreal with his father. She explained that times are tough right now. Her main concern was simply for him to have his feet covered with decent shoes, so he wouldn’t be made fun of for wearing ones that were shabby or in rough condition.
Hearing this, I knew I had to help. I was able to procure two pairs of shoes for her son.
When I gave them to her, she was extremely thankful for the gift. It was a reminder that meeting a basic need can bring immense relief and gratitude.
